A POEM FROM THE BOOK

SAY IT
.
If you think it, say it. If you can see it, touch it, feel it, taste it, hear it, smell it, then say it:
Say it out loud. Say it on paper. Say it on screen or on stage. Say it in song. Say it as best you can.
If you can only imagine it, hope for it, desire it, dream of it, cherish it, remember it, believe in it, you can still say it.
Weave me the gossamer cloth of your innermost passions. Weave it with words.
If you fear it, if you hate it, if you are overwhelmed by it, if it causes you anguish and despair, you must say it.
Paint me the dark canvas of your innermost terror and pain. Paint it with words.
.
Your words are a powerful medicine:
Your words are the key unlocking your private prison of solitary confinement.
Your words are the jaws-of-life cutting through your silence and your repression.
Your words are the beacon on your path to understanding.
Your words are the common denominator, shared by the people around you.
Your words are the natural consequence of your own unique and authentic perceptions.
Your words are the tools that help you define who you are.
Let me know you. Let me hear you. Let me hear you SAY IT.

DOCK
just as the man bent down to tie his shoelace
The Answer flashed across the screen
and when the screen went blank againthe man could see
that the cargo had already been unloaded
and that the only thing which kept the mob from breaking down the gate was
the mock mystery of The Twelve Messengers
that, and a modest measure ofSOLIDARITY
